TitoPuente's orchestra is distinguished by a velvet-smooth
blending of syncopated sounds, like an exotic whipped cream
spiced with a Caribbean rum. His arrangements convey an
authentic Latin-American flavor, yet he uses some of the
techniques of progressive jazz to give his music a mellifluous,
shimmering character. No wild, raucous sensationalism here
instead, music irresistibly made for dancing.
