This 1985 Warner Brothers release from guitar and soul singer George Benson is one of his best pop vocal albums. 20/20 offers a selection of soft ballads such as "New Day," Benson's cover of "Nothings Gonna Change My Love for You," and his duet with Roberta Flack, "You Are the Love of My Life." Up-tempo hits such as "No One Emotion," the title track, and a terrific Basie-like treatment of "Beyond the Sea" are also included in the mix. Another highlight is the hit song "I Just Wanna Hang Around You."
Benson is backed by his usual cast of big names here, including Patti Austin, James Taylor, Joe Sample, Dave Grusin and Nathan East, with conductors Frank Foster and Ralph Burns doing what they do best on several tracks.
